WELCOME! I'm Charlotte ValentineI was born and grew up in Blackpool, in the north of England, and spent
a very happy childhood there. I was an only child, fortunate to have parents who always supported me and encouraged me never to be afraid of trying something new. The greatest gift they could have given me.
I studied Law in London, then worked in Human Resources management until I decided to quit corporate life to study for my MA in Literature. That inspired my ambition to write my own novel one day.
After moving to Spain, and completing a Creative Writing course, I began writing short stories and working on my first novel which - after more title rethinks than I care to admit – became THE CERBERUS AFFAIR, published in 2020.
That was followed by my first collection of short mystery and suspense stories - LATE NIGHT SHOTS. Stories include Ghostwriter, Sinderella and The Third Door. |
Now a full time author, I am also committed to helping other writers achieve their ambitions.
In my new role as an Editor, in December 2020 I published UNLOCKED - a collection of short stories from aspiring, previously unpublished writers, whose stories I edited and formatted for publication. I was also delighted to have been invited to join the judging panel of the annual Page Turner Awards, to judge the Writing Award for completed manuscripts. I split my time between the UK (London) and Southern Spain (Málaga). I love the contrast between the pulsating vibe of my favourite city and the natural beauty of Andalucía. The people and cultures of both inspire my life, and my writing. I’m the proud owner of a son and share my home in Spain with several rescued cats and a dog who also thinks he’s a cat. When I’m not in solitary confinement with my laptop, or socializing, you’ll find me reading my favourite authors, working out (less than I probably should), or online shopping (more than I probably should). |
